slow hard drive ?

If my hard drive is messed up could that make my computer go really slow? Can hard drives go slow if they are getting ready to flake out?

Mine did that too. Kept loading like crazy. Then I reformatted. Now it's fast again. You probably just have too much gunk in there like I did.

Of course one disk I had went slow because it broke, but then it took 20mins+ to start Windows...

Yea, I am getting a new hard drive today. This is going so slow and its driving me crazy. I hooked up my parents hard drive to my computer and it went really fast so that test showed me that it was the hard drive. Thank you for the help.

Back up and running. it was my hard drive. time to config windows and download all the drivers heh.
