Slooowing down.

After running for a bit, my computer slows down, then, I turn it off for sometime, turn it on, and it's fast again. I think it's my HSF. I'm about to order a Volcano 9 ( http://www.3dcool.com/?module=product&sku=Volcano9 ) Think I made the right choice and this will help me?

heat won't slow down a computer. just make it freeze (ironically.. heh) or reboot.

might have a lot of background apps going or something. dunno. in task manager, what's your pagefile usage ("PF Usage") usually at?

also, check your CPU usage. if it's constantly at 100% or way up there, check your processes and see which one is causing it.

Weird. PF usage usually around 150-170. Now it's 160 %
CPU usage isn't that high also ( laughs ) ...time to reinstall windows XP )

look at it when it's slowing down. something's gott be causing it. if you find out what it is, you can prevent it from happeneing next time.
