I've just noticed today that every time I go to www.osnn.net on my shortcuts, or I type the address in, the front page loads ok then zooms to the bottom and I have to scroll all the way back up. Anyone else notice this?

I *think* it might be an advert doing it as I have also seen this today, but thought nothing of it will try doing some research... :p

Does it to me for that advert where you get a free polyphonic ringtone at the bottom,, the green one with the bird from no doubt... can anyone confirm? (ie if it happens tell me which advert you see at the bottom)

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
window.focus();
document.formItem.mobile.select();
document.formItem.mobile.focus();
</script>

Cheeky beasts!

I've noticed this one, but there is another I saw earlier that I've got my eyes open for.

Ads, boo. You should offer premium services.

No one would pay, when there are free alternatives.

I just wish the advertisers would be honest for once in their lives and just advertise their product without all this underhand bull****. It's not needed. *pats google adsense and gives it a cookie*

i had noticed it a few times today, presumed it was my "End" key playing up :eek:

93% of visitors (according to no. of hits and no. of google hits) are actually blocking the google adverts on the frontpage.
I will have to double check, most likely there is a glitch somewhere because that just seems silly! I may even attempt to contact google.

Yeah, seems to have gone after I left an angry IM.
We will see.

Angry email eh?

Good to know so when I show up and there's a "closed" sign, I'll know exactly what happened.

:D

Here are a few statistics that make it very difficult for me to justify visiting the site during work hours.

This is how many “visits” occur because of ads within a matter of 30 seconds. All generated because of the use of OSNN advertising. If OSNN offered premium services you better believe I would pay a fee if it was fair for ad free viewing. I might be the IT Manager here but I can’t make my own records disappear from the reports.

And for those of you who think ad blocking software prevents the ads from hitting your machine, you’re wrong. It just prevents your browser from loading them. Your machine still requests them and they still come through. So don’t suggest it.

And I am not suggesting you make this a paid only site. I am suggesting you offer paid services or premium services to members that want to pay.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
