Site moved once again

I am sure as those of you that visit may have noticed, both the activity and general here and my own has dropped considerably.

To save myself some cash, I have moved the server to some virtual hosting which I can expand the requirements of the site as required.

I do believe everything is fully functional and I have been doing some clearing up and will continue to do so, as well as implementing some new features and an incredibly simple way to defeat most (but likely not all) registration bots.

Btw remember to update any SPF records as mail appears to be getting tagged as spam in Gmail.

Hmm the email notification for your reply passed spf but was still tagged as spam. I would make sure you disable unregistered sending things like "see this page" and "contact member" as I found a bit going through those systems.
It may be worth routing through mandrill.com and checking the mail log interface there in case they have been sending masses through the domain/site.

I have seen a few come through normally, reputation on this particular email server should be neutral, but I imagine the 2000 validation emails the site has been trying to send fake spam accounts won't have helped.

Will keep an eye on it. I have also disabled the ability to email members and send pages to others as you suggested.

Seem to be on a few Blacklists that will hopefully drop off.
Hotmail is blocking us too, god damn spammers - taken care of most of those with two addons today so looking forward to seeing how that works out.

Yeah off everywhere as far as I can see, although for some reason it still shows for me

One spam addon stopped 15 users signing up over night, the other 35... damn.

Had all kinds of DNS issues on my end (nothing on your end) that looks like it is finally clearing up for me so I can access the site once more.

Finally off all the mail blacklists so that is nice.

Spam is down as well as spam signups but some of it just can't be stopped unless I start blocking some free email providers, only done Yahoo so far as that was ridiculous.
