Site access restriction?

I don't know if this belongs here, but this is where I thought it would be the closely related.

When I try to view anything from 1asphost or domaindlx, it never loads. Other people can view them, though. Is there a reason why it's doing this?

Are the two domains on the block list in your HOSTS file? To check if this is the case, click Start>Run and type "notepad C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS"

Check the list to see if it contains any references to 1asphost or domaindlx and remove those lines. You may need to reboot for the changes to take effect.

You could also try refreshing your DNS if that doesn't work by entering "ipconfig /flushdns" at the command prompt.

Same comment but is your ISP or local area network admin blocking them.

One other remote possibility. I use a router and once a lightning hit scrambled the setup in it so the WAN filter, normally:

255.255.255.0

got changed to something else which blocked about a third of the sites I normally visit. A hardware reset of the router cleared the problem.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
