Hi

I have one drive on a Sil Image 0680 - ATA/133. Every time I reboot, I have to confirm a screen as follows:
Code:
Sil 0680 ATA/133 Controller BIOS Version 3.0.93
Press F3 to enter configuration utility
Primary channel (blah)
Secondary channel (blah)
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility

This dialog is mostly pointless, I 'd prefer to skip right through it somehow. Does anyone know how?

TIA

That is your SIL card POSTing. Cannot disable it. Only disable by removing card.

Well,

There is really only two PCI ATA/RAID chipset makers out there, Promise and Silicon Image Limited (SIL), and they both POST during startup. I have/had several different variations of both and they always POSTed. Maybe your PCI board maker might have put something to select in the config utility, but I doubt it.

On a side note, VIA, NVidia and INTEL all make ATA chipsets as well, but they restrict themselves to onboard the motherboard. They POST as well during startup.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
