Shutdown error

I get a blue screen every time i shutdown, it only stays up for about 3 seconds but it has the line

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
that catches my eye.

what is IRQL? If i knew i might be able to slove the prob w/o doing another clean install.

Have you been tinkering to resolve APM issues or anything else? Does the error cause any damage anywhere (does it force a chkdsk on the drive)? Has it always happened, since day one, or just recently?

ok i got that fixed, it was my keyboard software, but now my shut down takes over a minute to complete. Is there a way i can speed it up.

download "bootvis" at de MS site. It helped a lot for me. Shutdown time at first for me was also a minute. now it's 20-30 sec.
