ok i have a problem or rather a problem for my wallet. I have a friend who is selling his 9800 Xt (he gets new **** and sells it rather soon after he gets it to get the next best thing) for 210. The question is would this be a wise thing with my specs(below)

its better to get a 6800 card... more powerful all around, newer tech and just a bit more expensive...

cheapest one on newegg...for 60 bucks more you get significantly improved performance all around and newer technology as well and it will be a much better step up from the 9700pro than the 9800xt is...

personally though I think you might want to save your pennies for something more significant like a 6800GT... there is no point in upgrading to a slightly better product...
