Shortcut for new folder?

Is there a keyboard shortcut to create a new folder in a directory?
or just quickly on the desktop?

Apparently it's Alt+F+W+F ... not even sure how to interpret that, ALT+F > Enter*2 supposedly works too. Haven't got Windows to try them out, quite happy with Command+N myself 😛
