I want to put a short cut to my control panel on my desktop, but I can't remember how to do it. Anyone?

Open My Computer. If you see Control Panel, just drag and drop it to your desktop and a shortcut will be created.
If you don't see Control Panel when you open My Computer, click Tools>Folder Options, and select the View tab. Then scroll down and check the "Show Control Panel in My Computer" box. Then just drag and drop it onto the desktop like above.
:)

You should also be able to drag and drop the Control Panel link on the start menu to the desktop unless you've set it to cascade.

My chance to say DOH! :p
I've been using that so many times from the Run dialog. Don't know why I didn't think of using that in a shortcut.

Thanks NetRyder, That did it, I had to get it into My Computer first

I wonder if it's worth the effort of telling you that you can make a custom control panel by making shortcuts to the appropriate .cpl-files...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
