is it possible to share one program in two os?
example having win 98se and win xp, with one office xp installed.
to save disk space :)
pls help to solve. thanks

Doubt it due to registry entries, but you could try installing the app twice identically to the same path under both systems. (ie shared drive between both OS's). Maybe this would solve??? Not really sure, but worth a bash :)

One more thing I forgot to mention....(important too)
Ensure that you choose a disk/drive partition that has no bearing on either system as Win98se will be on C:\ and XP on say D:\ then install aforementioned app on E:\

That way the app's folder will be visible under 98se (if you use NTFS on your XP partition)

If you install it on ur XP drive/partition 98se won't see it if u use NTFS

Good Luck ;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
