Setting up an wireless network -- need help

sweeeeet I got my sister's notebook on the net... now time for the other computer (running 98)... how should I take care of that?? and how do I get them both to shear files?? how do I get it set up so my sister's notebook and my computer print (the printer is on the 98 mechain)?? thanks for the help :)

ok for the win98 computer setup the wireless card and then in windows set it for dhcp click ok u need to restart mabey click yes if it asks u then when u restarted look for a box to come up that asks u if u want to connect to ur wireless router click ok then u are done. Now for the sharing go on ur sisters computer and run home network wizard it will guild u thourgh and ask u what u want u network to be called i pick mshome but u can do what u want. Then complete the wizard it will then ask u if u need to run the wizard on other computers click yes and put wizard on floppy or something like that. Put it on the floppy go to ur win98 computer and run the wizard off the floppy put in the workgroup u typed in earlyer. Let in finish and ur done. If u dont have ur printer sharded share it.

Glad to help u.

okey, I was finally able to get my gateway to connect to the internet (exchange the SMC wireless thing with a Netgear).... now I'm trying to connect to it so I could start shearing... but the problem it, it only sees itself and no one else... what am I doing wrong?? it's all pointing to the same workgroup, I changed all computers names (besides mine since I need to keep mine the same) so I could remember them... hell... I even went to My Network Places and Add Network Place to add it and it just keep saying it can't find it (gateway computer name is gateway, so I tried putting in \\gateway\c and it just says it doesn't apperas to be valided)... help :(

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
