Hello,
I know a way to speed bootup time is to disable unused services/apps from running at startup. Figuring out which apps do what is pretty straightforward, but what do the services in a typical xp system do? I don't want to go through the process of blindly disabling a service and see what it does (or doesn't do). Is there an article or list that explains each of these services do? Of course there will be some variance from system to system, but there will be many common ones.
