Im thinking about getting this drive: Seagate Barracuda4 ST360021A (60G 7200rpm ATA100 2M with Hydrolic Baring ( Quite and Cool )). Ive heard good reviews. Any opinions from anyone who has it or has used it?
Don't have one, but you can check http://www.storagereview.com and compare performance with other drives, and see how many ppl have reported good/bad experiences with it.

Thanks guys. AlecStaar.........i really dont need a 100GB drive.....(i already have a 34 gig). Its really not worth the extra $185 cdn
the seagate is $205cdn and the WD is $390 for something that I really dont need
I was going to buy 2 40gig versions of this drivefor RAID. In the end I went with the new Maxtor HDD's. Reason is that for RAID, latenc becomes more important and the Seagates have a high latency compared to other drives.
I don't remember where I heard it, but there was some major issue between the HighPoint HPT370 controller and some Seagate drives in RAID that resulted in slow-ass performance.
I thought I might mention that to ya, especially if you're using an Abit RAID board.
ive actually decided on the 80GB seagate drive. Im gonna pick it up today.....i dont need the extra space but $70cdn exta for 20 more GB is too hard to pass up. Im tempted to get the WD1000BBSe....but i think im gonna pass( im too cheap). Thanks for your input guys
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
