Is there a way of making bios recognise the scsi cd roms I have prior to entering windows?

Not causing any probs unless I want to ever boot from CD Rom.

This depends on the SCSI card you have. Many Bios's have an option to enable the SCSI Bios, which should enable your cdroms before boot.
