scannig ide drives... no arrays difined

Hi

A friend of me bought a mb msi K7T266 pro2_RU and a amd xp1700 but when he boot's the computer he get's scannig ide drives....... no arrays difined and the prossesor only shows 1100 not 1700 is this normal ?

Definitely sounds like he doesn't have the bios set correctly to recognize his chip and such, make sure he has the correct fsb speed set and such and that he has all his drives set up right.

witch all the drives setup coorrectly do you meen the masterl <-> slave configuration

yes, that and in the bios let it detect the drives on the primary setup screen then just have it use that instead of scanning for drives each time.
