saving updates

If I have to reformat a harddrive and reinstall xp, I would like to be able to have the updates in one place on a cd to reinstall also, instead of having to go online forever to start all over again. Is this possible? When I downloaded them the first time, I did not see this option.

Next time you go to Windows Update, check out your personal options. Windows catalog can be shown if you choose.
This is MS response to user requests.
You can choose an OS and download all the updates so you have them for yourself and others without downloading them repeatedly.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
