I have laptop that needs a driver disk for sata drivers for xp but it has no fdd is there a way to preinstall it on the cd somehow? Or is there another way apart from a USB fed?

Thanks for any ideas :)

I believe Service Pack 2 has the drivers you need, so if you can find a copy of XP SP2 to install you should be fine. Otherwise you can slipstream the SP2 files into the XP CD, or do what Carpo suggests and slipstream just the drivers you need.

That's not necessarily true, it depends on your chipset. Skunk you are best off using a program called nlite that will allow to add drivers to your install as Carpo/Ray was suggesting.

xp installs on 680i board i have using standard drivers - then i just have to use the chipset drivers from nvidia

Nice one chaps just used nlite to make my XP Pro SP1 into SP2 with the correct sata driver and it's all working :)

X-Istence This is a downgrade from Vista :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
