Safemode for HP machine?

HELLLPP!

I went into msconfig an unclicked all the start up items. Eeeek!!!

How do I get into safe mode on a Hewlitt Packard machine w/win 98?

I tried the F keys.

F1 takes me to set up (the bios)

on my comp it's F8. what model is it so i can do a search?

I found this, it may be of use:

To restart Windows 98 or Windows Me in Safe Mode:

1. Restart the computer.
2. During restart, hold down the Ctrl key until the Windows 98 startup menu appears.
3. Choose Safe Mode from the startup menu, and press Enter. Windows starts in Safe Mode.

Jason...ctrl key goes to an error.

Hennyman...The screen says Non-system disk error,

Oh crap, I jus checked the floppy drive again.I checked it in the beginning but i didnt see anything.

Seems to be ok now....wheww!!!!
