What are your machine specs, dont compare to HL2 outside worlds in Stalker are insane with the shadows on ... you need to turn off back ground tasks and adjust the game settings untill you find your sweet spot, I can run it at very high res and details but I do have the 800GTS 640mb ... what are you running it at ?

i got 2.4ghz, 1gb of ram, 256mb geforce 7900GT

and this game dose not seem more hardcore then HL2, I can't see that at all.

Tried out the new patch, and it does what it says it supposed to on the FPS gains!
