Running Office xp under Windows xp pro

I have Windows xp pro. I installed MS office xp and I'm able to see all its components in the programs menu but when I'm trying to use any of them, I've got the following message:

THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS NOT PRESENTLY CONFIGURED TO RUN THIS APPLICATION.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?

First thing I'd try is a reinstall of Office.

I did that several times..!
