does anyone know how i might be able to log into my linux (slackware 10) box from OSX but rather than using SSH to log into a CLI environment, i want to log into my Gnome Desktop over my LAN
Is there any special software i need to run on that slackware box to be able to do this?
I have heard that if i was doing this from windows i could have used "Cygwin" but is there any alternatives for OSX?

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean, but is VNC what you're looking for?

you can run a VNC server either real or tightvnc will work

if you want to connect to the x server then you need to start it with some flags to tell it to listen on a certain port, try man startx to find the right switches

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
