Rogue Spear and Sound Blaster cards..

HELP!! Ok here is the stupid problem.. In rogue spear (and all its expansions) during the game in the middle of no where the sound just goes crazy.. like a huge echo thing.. like if you had your speakers on full blast and held up your microphone to it.. it sux! I have tried messing with all the sound options in the game.. i have tried a Sound Blaster Live! Value and a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card. I have tried drivers on the CDs and the xp drivers that are built in ... what the heck!! I even formated hard drive same problem!! argg!!!

Go into sound and speaker settings and turn off hardware acceleration
