It's got to be asked, are you using a 486?

EAC - Exact Audio Copy

with SP2, Windows blocks the vbs, dll, and exe files...pretty much crippling the program. So just unblock all the files.

Its the best one I've used.
You may need to get LAME, i use EAC to rip to wav then I encode with razorlame.

does people still use sd... i thought everyone had moved to ddr

but as for the rippers, yeah cdex or itunes :)

A 2.8 p4 w/ only 194MB or RAM? Seems a bit out of proportion :)

on board GFX usin some of the mem

^^^i dunno if its sd lol i guess it is might not be

I just tend to use whatever media player I'm using to also rip CDs. The integrated approach works nicely. iTunes works well too, but since WMP10 is my primary media player now, I just use that.
CDex should work well too, as Dave already mentioned.

If you want the most accurate Rips possible, go with EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/)

The only program I will ever use for ripping.

Everything else on here should be more user friendly and faster though, so whatever floats your boat.

194 Sd ram

if thats what you meant
Hehe, yeah. Was just joking. Quite surprised that iTunes would slow that machine down, I run it on an AMD 1GHz/512mb machine with no troubles.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
