How do i make a restore point fo r thr registry and if i do and something goes wrong and i need to activate it, how do i do that

no idea, but here's a thought. Why don't you just export the registry before making any changes that could be dodgy?

Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore - Then Create Restore Point.

Once you are there, the process for restoring will be clear to you.

exporting the registry is a good idea, you can do that off the box, too.

If you are going to start your tweaking, you're going to be using the system restore to create restore points, or you are going to be exporting your registry allot

easiest thing for the system restore is to create a shorcut to the restore button on your desktop;

use this target;

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

huge time saver

If you try to import the whole registry by double clicking an oridnary full reg file you won't be able to.

Do a search for an app called ERUNT to bakup and restore registry.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
