Restart Issues

Hi,

I have this annoying problem with winXP, almost every time i restart, it spins down my hard drive and hten during bios post it spins it up again, Win98 doesn't do that.

Is there a way to stop it doing so ?

If you are using adaptec cd burning software get the update. That's one cause. 😱

No EZ CD Creator installed, i use Nero 5.5.

but it did htis even after i just installed XP and no other software.

I aws thinking maybe its some Fast Shut down option, i know win98 had that, maybe htats hte problem ?

thanks for hte link, but unfortunatly it doesn't help me, i don't have office XP and every thing is up to date, i guess maybe i will have to continue like this and that it
