Replacing monitor in XP Pro

I recently replaced my monitor with a Viewsonic
PF790 (19inch aperature grille). I noticed in the control panel under display, monitor, that it shows my monitor as a default monitor. How can I replace this with my new Viewsonic monitor.

Please help a Newbie.

just pop your viewsonic cd in the drive, then goto the device manager, choose update driver and point the dialog box to your cd drive and there ya go 🙂

although it should automatically be updated if you run the install from the viewsonic cd which I recommend because it helps you adjust the brightness and everything on your monitor so that you can get it nice and perfect, which is one of the things I always loved about viewsonic monitors.
