Repairing Codecs

What would be the best way to go about doing this? Is there a codec destroyer out there?

I'm using mpc and sometimes the color of my movies are slightly off with funny offcolor whites/purples creeping in. I swear it looks just like the out of color tones on old tvs going bad..

Advice anyone?

well, it could be just a low quality video file

did you install any codec packs?

if you did, you can't really uninstall those. your best bet is to reformat and refer to here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/archive/t191700.html to find the best solution (install as FEW codecs as possible -_-)
