Removing SP2

Can I remove SP2 from "Add or Remove Programs" in Control Panel as my pc is taking ages to boot and I cant see anything beneficial in it.

I tried that to see what my system would be returned to. Things I had turned off in msconfig were now on & some other minor changes. What else it did I don't know as I restored my system using a backup.

Sp2 increased my boot up / shut down time but only by 20 seconds or so.

Have you tried turning off unneeded things in msconfic to see if that improves your boot time?

Well use bootvis to optimise your system from here

Also run this tweak:

Copy to notepad save as boot.reg and run it.Make sure you back up your registry first.

Another thing you might find good to do is run this tweak to change icon cache size:

Do as in boot tweak, when you want to enable it after installing it, open my computer hit tools>folder options>view, roll down scroll bar and select cache size for icons and hit apply, ok reboot.
