Removing Shutdown Button from Login Screen?

I would like to know if I'm able to remove the shutdown option in the login screen, cuz everytime i come home my comp is always off and my downloads don't complete. Just reply if you know how. Thx

Hmmmm...

If you aint got someone at home turning off your system, it sounds to me like your "system standby" or "system hibernate" are set to turn it off after a set time. even if you are d/loading, some systems still take this as being "idle" and will hibernate or standby.

to change it, Control Panel>Power options.

[Edit. Think maybe you mean someone is shutting it down after using it while you are not there. Maybe ask them not to turn it off?]

if someone is shutting it down, the only way i know is to get tweakui. search for it on microsoft's site, unzip it to windows\system32 and find it in control panel. go to logon tab.

or throw some elbows when you get home. } j/k

Even though this is an old thread, I figured I would share the answer since I needed to do it myself. Check below:

Open Group Policy Editor (run gpedit.msc)

Then navigate to:

Computer Configuration
Windows Settings
Security Settings
Local Policies
Security Options
"Shutdown: Allow system..." (listed alphabetically)
Change to disabled
