how do you remove codecs in xp???

i want to remove all the codecs and reinstall because somewhere something messed up and i can't play the video on allot of the files i used to
only the audio plays

this way i can just download what codecs i need

Solution

To remove codecs you must go under your "control panel" and choose "sound and audio devices"

Under this option choose the tab "hardware".

From here look for "audio codecs" and "video codecs". Choose properties.

Just select the codecs you don't want and choose remove.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
