Remove Media Player?

Can it be done? I have an ATI TV Card so ATI multimedia center takes over media files. I don't want media player.... if there is no way to remove it how about revert it to version 6.x? I've seen it done in Win ME.

Thanks

Open Windows Explorer, go to the folder 'Program Files\Windows Media Player.' Create a shortcut to the file mplayer2.exe. This is media player 6.4. You'll have to go into your file associations list to point your media files to it.

it's a different version of media player. In that folder is wmplayer.exe (the new one) and mplayer2.exe (version 6.4). I'd leave the newer one alone, it's hard telling what it's integrated with and removing it could cause problems elsewhere.

The place i just pointed you to is that "I've seen it done in Win ME" thing.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
