Is there a wildcard when working with registry keys? Für Beispiel:

;Disabling Outlook Express splash screen
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{User's Identity}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0]
"NoSplash"=1

I want a wildcard for {User's Identity} so it affects all users. Can this be done?

No wildcard that I know of. Besides each users Identity would be in there own CURRENT_USER hive. You would have to be logged in as that user to do it, (or load the hive, but that is more complicated). Try adding that value to the LOCAL_MACHINE hive which is global for all users:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0

Shoot...it didn't work. Somehow X-Setup (A tweaking program I have) can find it. There must be a way :( Perhaps a batch file or an exe maybe. I'll keep looking.

I haven't heard of wildcards for registry keys before. There might be a way, but not that I know of.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
