It MUST be possible, but HOW do I get onto my ADSL connection from RedHat 8 via an Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem - I have had no connection problems in WinXP pro, and once connected in Mandrake. I want to migrate Lock Stock and Barrel and get away from Windoze and Micro$oft.

HELP

USB modems are hardly supported under Linux since USB support is still slow. Try getting a modem with an ethernet adapter, so you can use an NIC, if that is not possible look for a USB to Ethernet adapted for broadband.
