is the recycle bin still a folder like in 98 (c:\recycled or somthing), cos i can't find it as one. where is it on my hard drive? is there an individual one for each user?

actually where is it, as a folder? windows explorer still doesn't tell me where it is, as much as the item for 'desktop' doesn't tell me that it is c:\documents and settings\rupert\desktop\. do you see what i mean?

Turn on Show hidden files and folders and uncheck hide protected operating system files in Folder Options.

nice one exwhap, i had forgotten about the extra 'protected files' option as well as the good old 'show hidden' one - oops. thanks anyway!
