recovery from fomatt

ok formatted the worng 40gb drive but there was not much on it, about 3gb of stuff. is there anyway to get is back? becides re-download it? is there any app that can get it back

two people recommended that to me when my hdd died (didnt work for me, but that was the drive, not the app ) So it cant be bad.

One friend even had to use it on an important server at work, and apparently it worked fine

I just did the same thing, unfortunately for me it was about 10 gig of stuff I lost
