Hello
I have accidently deleted my Realtek (AC '97) programme from my hard drive and now have no sound. What do I need to download to reinstall it?

Thank you

Thanks for that.. i know this is probably a stupid q, but what is my chip?? I know its the model number of the AC'97 audio CODEC on the motherboard. The model number starts with "ALC" and a number follows but I can't find this ALC number.. please help! thanks

What make and model motherboard is it? if you look on the manufacturer's website, it should tell you what version of the Realtek on-board sound it uses.

P.S. Welcome to OSNN.net!!!

I am gonna assume it uses the drivers we post on in the news all the time as they are common to most boards.

Latest ones are posted on HERE.

Not only that, it has a direct link to the drivers my computer model uses! thanks for that.. first time i've used one of these help forums

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
