hey all. happy new year! I am trying to fix a friends pc. It is a compaq deskpro 575. I know. A dinosaur. but she won't buy a new one. heres the deal. She went to plug in the PS/2 Mouse and pushed it thru and basically broke the plug in. The keyboard jack still works tho. My question is this. Is it possible to just get a splitter PS/2 cable and plug both the mouse and keyboard into the keyboard jack? I don't want to go out and buy one if it doesnt work. Any input is appriciated. and thanks to all in advance.

Doh:happy: it seems that a splitter should work splitter but a cheaper and safer solution might be to buy a ps2 to serial port adapter to hook the mouse back up....also the adapter should be cheaper adapter

Thanks for the quick rosponce BonyTony. I think I will go the cheaper route. A couple bucks saved is almost a pack of smokes. Again thanks. and have a happy New Year.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
