re-dial pc restarts

When i get disconnected from my dial up(every two hours)if i try to reconnect my pc shuts down and restarts.I am using xp.Thanks for any help

Are you using CompuServe or AOL? Some ISPs that use custom programs are not compatible with XP. Try updating your ISP's software.

thanks for that reg.Downloaded an update from isp and seems to have solved it,although there was no mention of this problem. Thanks

No sorry peeps,problem still occurring.Have noticed though that when pc restarts,intel sign comes up don't when i startup normally
