ramdrives

ramdrives were used in the past (primarily 95 & 98) to gain speed by preloading programs in an allocated memory space. it is supposed to be proven effective in win2k... here is a websight on it..

I use mine for the temp internet files. IE runs superfast. I must warn you though that System Restore gave me LOTS of trouble with my ram drive. All restore points kept getting periodically wiped when the ramdrive got low on space....
