juss got a stick 256ddr ram (2100) and when i put it in its sayin its 128mb :s in the bios n everythin i try its sayin its 128 but its a 256 so any ideas wot could caus this ? plz help

Your motherboard probably doesn't either support that much RAM or RAM of that timing. You can confirm this by referring to yor motherboard manual online. It may be possible to flash your bios to detect more RAM but unlikely.

your motherboard may be too old to understand more than 64mb per side. a BIOS update may allow you to work around this. what motherboard model is it ?

It's actually more likely bad RAM.... u can try a BIOS update, but if the board is new enough to support DDR, the 64mb per side limit most likely won't be there....

well i know my mother board can support more than 64 each side as its got 256 in it now but the mother board is a ms-6382 n im sure can handle up to 1 gig :(

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
