rainbow 6 rogue spear

Hi,
I'm havin trouble getting mine to work on my windows xp. i try to use the 2.05 patch and it gets to 100% and freezes. i've also tried different compatability modes and none seem to work. any ideas on how i can get it to work?

It was a a log time ago but here's what I remember:

Rainbow 6 and Rogue worked just fine on XP as I recall. There were two types of video that could be chosen. back then. One was DX and the other I can't remember the name of. You had to go into a text file file and make sure the DX video is selected. I doubt if modren systems will support the old video format.

I wish I could remember more, sorry. I tried my old support links but they are all dead.
