Ok, how do i change in my bios from raid to just sata fior my hd? I n oticed there was an option for legacy, but im not sure what that is!

Thanks:rolleyes:

depending on what raid setup you chose, this may not be an "easy" thing to do. If you have a raid0 array setup and break the array, you will lose the data on both drives.

hm..i dont know if in the bios it says raid, i think i have an option for legacy and something else..whats legacy?

legacy makes it pretend to be seperate IDE disks so that you don't need drivers or anything.

****, then maybe i dont have raid, how can i tell if i do?

How many hard drives do you have in the PC?

How many show up under My Computer?

If the number is the same then you are not using RAID.

If there are more in the PC than shown in my computer it is probably RAID.

you need at least two physical drives to create any type of RAID

to quote Wikipedia
Fundamentally, RAID combines multiple hard disks into a single logical unit.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
