I bought a new laptop a few months ago and have just set up a raid 0 array on it. I've noticed though that the driver disk I got comes with a via raid controler on it. Is it necessary that I use this. Does windows not have it's own raid driver? Thing's seem to be running really well with out the via one.

Pretty bada$$ lookin lappie Doom. Others may weigh in on this with a bit more experience/expertise ... but....

If it's running fine, leave her alone. XP likely took care of it.

I think any hardware expert will tell you to use the manufacturer's driver over the Microsoft Windows Publisher version. But MS has a point; if it's not broken, don't fix it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
