Radeon 7000 Low FPS

Okay, I just downgraded from a GeForce4 Ti4200 to a Radeon 7000. I'm crazy right? Well I'm not. I downgraded because of the infamous audio lock up problem. Anyway, I'm getting low fps in CS and in other games. Not sure why. Here are my specs.

1GhZ P3
384 PC-2100 RAM
Asus CUV-266 Mobo
Radeon 7000 64MB
ViewSonic A70f Perfect flat.

I have the latest drivers, and I'm at 60hz for my monitor. When I turn off v-sync, my max fps is 60, but when I turn it on, I get 20. Not really sure why. Maybe I'll get it fixed later tonight. If you have a suggestion please let me know. Thanks.

if your monitor is set at 60hz isnt that going to hold u to 60max?
i dunno

but i had the same infinite sound loop problem....just reformat easy

personally i think u shouldnt have downgraded

Thanks for your help. err..'help' I fixed the problem by changing my open gl settings. Now I get 60fps with vsync on.

should have just gone with the 8500, the 7000 is the POS of the line up.
