As the makers of the world's best-selling digital music players announced a revamp of its famously vibrant "mini" range, the gold option was conspicuous by its absence.

about time, its the most hideous colour of iPod and generally looks crap.

Yeah it was hard to beleive they made a gold in the first place. I would imagine the only ones that sold were to people that wanted a mini really bad and all the other colors were sold out (yes even the pink).
