New HD movie trailers on Apple's site are using h264 also. ;)

Folks over on Neowin don't seem to be having such a good experience with this. I'm hearing reports that it lags and skips frames even on pretty powerful machines with plenty of RAM. The 480p version of the Batman Begins trailer worked nicely on my notebook though. It's a 2.4GHz P4 w/ 512MB DDR. The quality is nice, but I've watched WMV-HD videos before, so I wasn't really blown away or anything. Lots of hype more than anything, I guess. :D

The damn WWDC keynote still doesn't work for me though. How odd. Must be a combination of the servers getting hammered and the slow-ish connection I'm on right now. :s

folks over at neowin are mostly idiots anyway so I wouldn't put much stock on their problems :p

this h264 stuff was playing okay on my office pc which is a p4 2.8, 1gb pc2700 and intel 845 IGP, as long as I dont play it at 1280x1024 for the lcd its fine :)

WMV-HD, DivX HD however practically bring this thing to a grinding halt :D

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
