Quickres

What has happened to the quickres icon that win98 had allowing you to switch resolution on the fly. I know it can still be done but it was so much easier with the little icon in the tray.

Did I overlook something when setting up?

Sorry if this question is in the wrong area, I really don't know what area it would fall under.

Merry Christmas

Download and install MultiRes. It's a freeware alternative to QuickRes.

I spoke too fast. I have found a nice utility from PC-Mag that does what quickres did and more.

see attached

No I don't need to switch all the time but it is handy now and again especially on the web as some pages are better 800x600 but then you hit a site that was designed at 1024x768. I find it a pain an the butt to scroll across the bottom while trying to read something.

Another reason for using a utility like this is that I'm not the only one using this computer. I know, user accounts, but that's a little too much for a home computer, I think.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
