Okay really quick (summary) while its still fresh in my head:
on the server append to the end of /etc/rc.conf the following:
rpcbind_enable="YES"
nfs_server_enable="YES"
nfs_server_flags="-u -t -n 4"
add to /etc/exports the following info:
/path/to/export <ip/hostname that will mount this export>
repeat as necessary (check man exports for more detail)
reboot server or type: portmap && nfsd -u -t -n 4 && mountd -r
on the client add the following lines to /etc/rc.conf:
rpcbind_enable="YES"
nfs_client_enable="YES"
nfs_client_flags="-n 4"
type portmap && nfsiod -n 4
mount the exports as follows:
mount -v host:/path/to/export /path/to/mount/at
-v makes output verbose
in /etc/fstab on client:
host:/path/to/export /path/to/mount/at nfs rw 0 0
repeat as necessary
et voila nfs mounted exports
enjoy
