Is Bilinear filter better then Trilinear?

Using Tri I get 193 FPS in Q3Bench
Using Bi I get 216 FPS in Q3Bench.

I always thought Tri was the way to go.

Trilinear is better (visually), hence your lower framerates. Bilinear will give you better performance.

depends on textures

If the textures are designed to take andvatage of a tri-linear filter. it will look better. If not, don't worry about it.

But for the most part, tri-linear is better, and with frame rates above 100... don't complain.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
